I chose UB because it is one of the top schools in the country. The classes are medium-sized and the faculty and students are very close. The courses are extremely interesting. I really enjoyed advanced pharmacokinetics and advanced pharmacodynamics. From these two courses, I began to become deeply interested in pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics.
I really love my Ph.D. project. I am studying the corticosteroid effect of carbohydrate metabolism on a molecular and cellular level. From here, I may do a postdoc in pharmaceutics or biological sciences. I'll probably go into academia when I finish my postdoctoral studies.
