William Jusko, Ph.D.
Program: Pharmaceutical Sciences
Professor: Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics
Our program is the best program of its kind in the world—it is well-rounded with studies in drug analysis, drug delivery, and pharmacogenomics. Our teachers are excited about what they do and what they're teaching. In addition, our students are frequently invited to attend presentations by members of the FDA and other uninversities to discuss career questions.
We teach the way drugs work and how to better control drug therapy; we blend math, pharmacology, physical chemistry, and statistics. Our students have the opportunity to study development of new methodologies, to study cells or receptors or genomes, and to study animal systems or clincial studies affecting disposition of drugs.
I teach pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. My current research involves the investigation of immunosuppressive drugs for patients undergoing transplantation.
