I came to this department because I knew that it was one of the best and highly recognized Pharmaceutics schools in the United States. When I got here I was surprised by how special the work environment was—everyone was so warm and yet professional. I found the faculty very welcoming and committed. Whatever I needed, the faculty was there to guide me-they were open and easy to communicate with.
In addition, this department is very well equipped with technology and instrumentation, which makes our work easier. There are well trained personnel and there is always someone to teach you how to use the instruments.
As of my own professional fulfillment, it is important to me that my research is stimulating but also rewarding—i.e., that it has the potential to impact positively the quality of life of future generations. The research that we do here at UB is all that.
