What Our Program Offers

Residencies and fellowships affiliated with the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences offer numerous advantages over most freestanding programs, as well as over many programs affiliated with other universities. Some of the benefits of a UB residency or fellowship are:

  1. A faculty appointment at the Clinical Instructor level
  2. Opportunities to lecture, precept and participate in a number of courses in the curriculum
  3. Opportunity to take academic courses that complement your individual professional goals (please check with individual program directors for specific options)
  4. Participation in Regional Pharmacy Seminar Series where Residents and Fellows attend lectures targeted at special areas of interest to post-doctoral trainees
  5. Access to a world-class medical library, including access to full-text on-line journals, Medline, and references
  6. Free dial-up internet access from home

About UB

The University at Buffalo, State University of New York, is the largest campus in the SUNY system. Nearly 50 research centers and institutes operate on campus or in the surrounding hospitals. Frequently recognized for their research achievements and scholarly feats, the University's 4,000 full-time and affiliated faculty have been responsible for a great number of major innovations in academic, research and professional practice, as well as the development of higher education in general.

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is located on the North Campus, in a modern complex that provides ample, pleasant and well-equipped laboratory space and computing facilities for the school's research efforts. Major clinical and research collaboration exists between the faculty of the Schools of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
