Postgraduate Professional Education

Office of Postgraduate Education

In support of life-long learning, the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences offers continuing education through a series of programs for practicing pharmacists and pharmacy students designed to provide reviews and updates of drug classes and therapies, pharmacy law, and emerging technologies used in pharmacy practice.

Program goals are to provide an overview of important advances in the diagnosis and treatment of various disease states. These are a joint effort by the faculty of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and the School of Medicine and illustrates the academic and clinical relationships that have grown within the Western New York community of physicians and pharmacy practitioners. Attendees of these programs will gain valuable new information to assist in the health care delivery of patients. Key components of the programs include the following:

  • All programs are presented on the UB campus at either the Center for Tomorrow or other appropriate classroom sites.
  • Programs feature multiple speakers who are experts in their topic areas.
  • Opportunity for increased practitioner interaction with pharmaceutical companies in an educational environment.
