Pharmacotherapy Information Center

Welcome to the Pharmacotherapy Information Center (PIC)

The PIC was founded in 2003 as a physical location within the UB Health Sciences Library and has now expanded to include a web-based interface with community practitioners. A joint effort between the UB School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, the School of Informatics and the Health Sciences Library, the PIC has been established as a mechanism for integrated education and research opportunities related to medication use.

Practitioners within the Health System Member Sites can now benefit from the expertise of Pharmacy Practice faculty and residents by submitting requests for medication-related information to the PIC. Training of students in the Doctor of Pharmacy program as well as post-doctoral pharmacy residents in the UB residency programs will be incorporated as they conduct informatics activities generated by requests to the PIC under the supervision of Pharmacy Practice faculty.
