PCLC Faculty


Gayle Brazeau, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. Dr. Brazeau directs a laboratory that investigates drug-induced myopathy.


Peter Brody, Pharm.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor and a Clinical Investigator in ambulatory pharmacotherapy. He is a clinical pharmacist for the Eckerd PatientCARE Network, representing the WNY region, in addition to coordinating clerkships and wellness clinics throughout Eckerd pharmacies in the local area.


Louise Cooper, RPh., MS, is a Clinical Instructor for the PHM 315/316/517/518 Pharmaceutical Care Courses, the Basics of Institutional Practice Course, and the PHM 531/532 Professional Practice Compounding Laboratory.  Mrs. Cooper is also the Research Pharmacist for the SoPPS Research Pharmacy, and is the preceptor for numerous Pharm.D. projects.


Karl Fiebelkorn, R.Ph., MBA, is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean for Student Affairs. Professor Fiebelkorn in an investigator at the Community Health Center of Buffalo.


Patricia M. Grace, MLT, BA, MA, is a Clinical Instructor and Pharmaceutical Care Administrator.  Patricia Grace teaches communications and the laboratory component of the PHM 315/315 Pharmaceutical Care courses.  She also teaches in the PHM 517/518 Pharmaceutical Care courses, as well as the Basics of Institutional Practice Course, and is the preceptor for numerous Pharmaceutical Care Pham.D. projects.

Patricia Grace is also the Administrator for the Research Pharmacy.


Gene D. Morse, Pharm.D., is Associate Dean, Clinical Education and Research and Chairman, Department of Pharmacy Practice. Dr. Morse is a UB Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Research Professor of Medicine and UR Research professor of Clinical Pharmacology. Dr. Morse is Primary Investigator for the NIH-sponsored AIDS Clinical Trials Group  Pharmacology Laboratory, which focuses on the measurement of antivirals and surrogate markers in patients with HIV and other viral diseases and a NIDA sponsored RO-1 grant in Drug Interactions and TDM of Antiretrovirals.

Dr. Morse precepts an ACCP-accredited fellowship in antiviral pharmacology, directs the Novartis Fellowship, and is a member of the University at Buffalo Health Sciences Institutional Review Board.

Dr. Gene Morse directs a NIH-funded Adult AIDS Clinical Trials Group Pharmacology Laboratory focusing on the measurement of antivirals and surrogate markers in patients with HIV and other viral diseases.


Nicole Paolini, Pharm.D., Program Director of the UB Ambulatory Care Residency, at Lifetime Health Centers. Dr. Paolini is also a Clinical Assistant Professor and PRC Co-Investigator at the Lifetime Health Center Network and Rite Aid Pharmacies.


William A. Prescott Jr., Pharm.D., Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatric Pharmacotherapy, is a member of the Division of Clinical Pharmacology at the Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo. At this site, Dr. Prescott’s responsibilities include implementing a pediatric research program and designing a clinical site for the mentoring of pharmacy students and residents on their clinical rotations.

Dr. Prescott is also the UB faculty liaison to the Western New York Society of Health System Pharmacists.


Alfred T. Reiman, RPh, is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice.  Prof. Reiman is the Supervising Pharmacist for the Professional Practice Laboratory, and is the Course Coordinator for the PHM 431/432 Professional Practice,  Advanced Compounding, and the Topics in Institutional Pharmacy Practice.   Prof. Reiman is the Co-Course Coordinator for the Basics of Institutional Practice Course, and is the Supervising Pharmacist for the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Research Pharmacy.


Robert Wahler, Pharm.D., Program Director, Geriatric/Hospice and Palliative Care Pharmacotherapy, is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice.

Dr. Robert Wahler directs an ambulatory-based pharmacotherapy research program at Univera-Excellus Inc., a multi-center health care maintenance networks, as well as the Buffalo and Niagara Hospice programs.

Dr. Robert Wahler coordinates a network of collaborating geriatrics care programs and focuses on a number of medication-related issues in chronic disease management. Dr. Wahler is also the coordinator of the Geriatric Pharmacotherapy Network, comprised of geriatric pharmacotherapists/consultants in Western New York.


Angela Wisniewski, Pharm.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Family Medicine.  Dr. Wisniewski is a course co-coordinator for PHM 517 and 518, with Professor Bennes and Drs. Paolini and Wahler.  She teaches in the Pharmacotherapeutics Endocrinology section.

Precepted rotations include inpatient Family Medicine at ECMC and Informatics. 

Dr. Wisniewski’s research program, within the UB Family Medicine Research Institute, is focused on two areas: medication adherence and patient safety/medication errors.  Current active studies include asthma medication adherence among health disparity populations, an evaluation of how medications impact skilled nursing facility resident functional status, and if human factors approaches can decrease medication errors.


Cori Wyman, Pharm.D. is a Clinical Assistant Professor and a Clinical Director for Metcare Rx Pharmaceutical Care Co at the Erie County Medical Center and the Community Health Center of Buffalo.


Gina Zurick, Pharm.D., program director of the UB Primary Care with Emphasis on Family Medicine Residency.  Dr. Zurick is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Erie County Medical Center.

Dr. Gina Zurick collaborates on coordinating medication-related programs to provide continuity of care between inpatient and outpatient facilities within the family medicine department at Erie County Medical Center and the Community Health Center of Buffalo.
