Early Assurance Program Requirements - Doctor of Pharmacy
(Pharm.D.)
The Early Assurance Program is a program offered to incoming
freshmen who enter the University at Buffalo directly from high
school as intended pharmacy majors. It is what is known as a
two/four program: two years of pre-pharmacy coursework followed
by four years in the professional program. These students must
complete their prerequisites at UB and adhere to the Early Assurance requirements in order to be
considered for admission to the four year professional
program.
Step 1: Apply for undergraduate admission to UB
Indicate pharmacy as your intended major either on your initial
application (international students, learn more here) or before
the end of your first semester at UB. All students described
above are automatically eligible. There is no additional
paperwork to complete as an incoming freshman. Please note:
Office of Undergraduate Admissions is not involved with the Early
Assurance program, therefore you will not receive any information
regarding this program with their admission decision. If you are
considered an Early Assurance student, please do not apply
through PharmCAS.
Step 2: Submit the Early Assurance Form during your Sophomore
Year
Complete the Supplemental Admission Application Form
during your sophomore year. The completed application must be
received or postmarked by November 1.
NOTE: This is the only required form for EA Applicants to
