Costs
A University at Buffalo education is an excellent value. As a public university, our tuition is only a fraction of the cost of attending a
private college or university of comparable quality and opportunity. Please note that the first professional year of the PharmD program is considered
undergraduate for the purpose of tuition and fees,
regardless of your educational background. The second, third, and fourth professional years of the PharmD program are considered graduate PharmD
for the purpose of tuition and fees. Out-of-State students are eligible for in-state tuition after their P1 year. While actual expenses will vary
based on lifestyle, the estimated costs of attendance for Undergraduate
(first professional year) and PharmD (second, third, and fourth
professional years) should assist in planning your own budget. The estimated budgets represent full time attendance for the upcoming Fall and Spring
academic terms and are made up of direct (tuition and fees) and indirect costs (housing, board, books and supplies, personal and miscellaneous,
transportation, and origination fee).
Financial Aid
If you need additional help financing your education, U.S. citizens should apply for financial aid by filling out a
FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online. The FAFSA
is an application for student aid that collects the basic information needed to determine your eligibility for all
of the financial aid programs sponsored by the federal government.
