Thank you for your interest in the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program at UB! Our comprehensive academic program prepares our graduates to be the brightest and most sought-after in the country. Click here to view the program courses and curriculum. Selection is based on scholastic achievement, aptitude, personal qualifications, and evidence of motivation toward pharmacy. These are judged from the college record, grade point average, the PCAT, letters of reference and evaluation, a supplemental application, and a personal interview. In addition to intellectual and academic competence, the School's Admissions Committee considers communication skills, leadership ability, community service, health care-related or research experience, and motivation for pursuing a career in pharmacy. Combined degree programs, including a Pharm.D./M.B.A., Pharm.D./M.P.H., Pharm.D./J.D., and a Pharm.D./Ph.D., are also available at UB SoPPS.
UB does not have a policy that limits or favors current UB students, transfer or out-of-state applicants. All applicants are considered equally. UB SoPPS is committed to a nondiscriminatory admission policy and philosophy. In accordance with federal and state laws, no person, in whatever relationship with the University at Buffalo, shall be subject to discrimination on the basis of age, religion or creed, color, disability, national origin, race, ethnicity, sex, marital or veteran status.
We have a rolling admissions process. We begin review of applications in September and make admissions decisions on a continual basis until the class is filled. Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply well in advance to allow ample time to process your application.
